Healing the Soul x Practicality Combined
ChiaoChiang Interior Design Honored with the "Taiwan Excellent Integrity Enterprise Award&a
Founded in 1994, ChiaoChiang Interior Design upholds the spirit of its first generation, combining solid craftsmanship with spatial psychology. They fully listen to clients' needs and create works filled with stories that preserve memories within spaces, even as time passes. With high standards of quality and innovative thinking, the ChiaoChiang design team won the Gold Award in the Interior Design category at the 2020 Muse Design Awards during their first participation. They subsequently earned the Silver Award at Italy's 2021 A'Design competition and the "Taiwan Excellent Integrity Enterprise Award" presented by the Chinese Association for Quality Enterprises and Economic Development in 2022.

The founder of ChiaoChiang Design, Mr. Lee Chin-Tang, has passed down his vision and philosophy to the second generation. Continuing his father’s commitment to excellence and high-quality standards, the new generation of directors—siblings—has not only inherited traditional craftsmanship but also integrated contemporary innovations with a focus on environmental sustainability, aiming to provide clients with fresh and unique experiences.

Unlike the simplicity of the first generation’s style, the second-generation design team emphasizes spatial coherence. They avoid using cold architectural hardware to divide spaces, instead focusing on harmonious designs that prioritize the mental and physical comfort of the inhabitants. Their approach returns to natural spaces, paying attention to proportionality based on visual psychology and practical adjustments. They enhance overall residential continuity by integrating colors, shapes, spaces, and even thought processes, bringing urban dwellers closer to their primal biological essence. Spaces become as expansive as the universe, capturing and preserving clients' stories.

Under this guiding philosophy, ChiaoChiang Design aspires to develop designs that heal the soul while balancing practicality. For instance, their own office design breaks the traditional perception of rigid, square spaces by embracing natural forms. A white base pairs with warm wood textures, incorporating elements of honeycombs, caves, and tree trunks to evoke primal forms. The office resembles fertile soil, with "aerial roots" symbolizing the flow of nourishment and knowledge among desks, exuding vitality and aesthetic dynamism. Large glass panels blur the line between interior and exterior, creating a seamless experience where one can feel the outdoor breeze and sunlight. Their commitment to using recycled eco-friendly materials adds a sense of renewal and joy to the space.

With the second generation at the helm, ChiaoChiang has adopted a team-based model where designers collaborate and share resources to overcome challenges together. At its core, ChiaoChiang Design emphasizes harmony and empathy. By treating each project as if designing their own home, the team has cultivated strong synergy over time. In terms of materials, only eco-friendly or flame-resistant options are chosen, reducing maintenance issues and ensuring the longevity of the space.

"As we understand, solving a new challenge means gaining new skills." This self-commitment from the new generation’s director, Lee Jun-He, inspires the team to continuously improve and grow. ChiaoChiang’s team remains unfettered by traditional methods and embraces new challenges with enthusiasm, investing time and resources to overcome obstacles creatively and effectively.
